Our Pastor and Staff

Ordained in 2006, Pastor Liz has served in a variety of ministry settings. The first nine years were as a parish pastor in rural Wisconsin (Go Packers!), and the last ten years were as part of synod staffs in the Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod and Northeastern Iowa Synod.

With a sense of adventure and a desire to be rooted in congregational life, Pastor Liz moved with her husband, Jerome, their mischievous two cats (Loki and Jaeger) and their husky (Luna) in August 2025 to join in God’s work through Holy Spirit Lutheran as their called pastor.

Pastor Liz is called to encourage and nurture faith that deepens love for God, neighbours and the earth, and one another. One of her greatest joys in ministry is to help people and communities be the best version of themselves. She believes that God’s grace brings out our best: kindness and warm hospitality, mercy and patience, humble boldness and courage, creativity and endurance, and a tenacious and persistent spirit – the very things we need to make a positive difference in our neighbourhoods and world today.

You will find Pastor Liz in and around Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Sundays through Thursdays. Please stop by (making an appointment will ensure that she is in the office!) to chat, explore an idea or question, or simply be in a space where you are welcomed as you are!

Lori works in the office Monday through Friday and supports the busy day-to-day operations of the church.

She is usually the person you'll speak with if you call the office or will greet you with a smile at the door.

She has been a part of the Holy Spirit family for 25+ years and a part of the staff team since 2015.

She enjoys reading, walking in nature, and spending time with family and friends. 

Darian (here pictured on the left) comes to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church with a wide range of experience in digital communications, graphic design, and marketing. Since being brought on board in the summer of 2025, he's been assisting Lori in the office and contributing to the church's digital communications presence.

He can be found in the office Tuesday through Friday. When he's not working he can be found making music, getting overly invested in video game storytelling, and being deeply silly with his daughter.
