Holy Spirit welcomed Pastor Trish and her husband Ken in August 2012. Ken and Trish live in Edmonton and have two adult children. She attended the University of Alberta (BSc in Agriculture) and completed theological studies at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon (MDiv.) Trish has also served parishes in Edson and Leduc.

She says:

"God is about love.  Always love.  It sounds so simple and yet, if you are at all awake in this world, you will know that we obviously have a lot to learn!  Keep learning, exploring, discovering all that life has to offer, because all of life is a gift from God. Take a chance and look for where God is already at work in the world." 

If she's not at church you might find her in the backyard garden, on the golf course or possibly scooting around town on her motorcycle!

Rev. Lindsey Jorgensen-Skakum

Associate Pastor

Rev. Lindsey Jorgensen-Skakum (they/them/theirs) is a proud queer non-binary pastor currently serving as Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Edmonton, AB.

They began their journey towards ordained ministry in 2007 when they felt God’s call to use their gifts in a new way. After completing a B.A. in Religious Studies at the University of Lethbridge in 2011, they earned a Master in Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon in 2016. In that same year Lindsey was called to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada as the associate pastor. 

Pastor Lindsey is passionate about issues of social justice, especially: fostering spaces of affirmation, celebration, and inclusion for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, working alongside anti-racism and decolonizing efforts to address systemic issues, affirming the work of harm reduction practices for substances users, and addressing issues of houselessness in the Edmonton area.

Rev. Lindsey also currently serves as:

• Chair of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada’s (ELCIC) Taskforce addressing Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia
• Chair of the Synod of Alberta and the Territories Affirming Diversity Ministry Team
• Secretary of Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries Board of Directors

Lindsey is also a partner to their beloved wife Danika, a parent (Lala) to Georgia, a giver of treats to Elliott the dog, an avid Raptors fan, a musician, and a lover boardgames.

Lori Zeiner

Office Administrator

Lori works in the office Monday through Friday and supports the day-to-day operations of the church.

She is usually the person you'll speak with if you call the office or will greet you with a smile at the door.
